Grace Craig
Grace Margaret Craig (she/they) is a crossover artist specializing in both classical and musical theatre style singing. Grace holds Bachelor’s degrees in both Music Education and Vocal Performance from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, and a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
She was born in New York to a family of teachers who have always encouraged and fueled her passion for education. Grace uses a student-centered approach in her studio and believes that creating a safe, positive environment is the first step to effective teaching and learning. Singing is possibly the most vulnerable act a person can perform so establishing trust is incredibly important.
As well as teaching at Songbird, Grace is also performing professionally in the Bay Area. Her recent musical theatre credits as of October 2023 are Nicola in Kinky Boots at Berkeley Playhouse, Cinderella u/s in Into the Woods at Mountain Play, and Jo March in Little Women: The Musical at San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Her recent opera credits as of October 2023 are Gontran in Une éducation manquée by Emmanuel Chabrier, Mab/Adelaide in The Enchanted Pig by Jonathan Dove, and Chocholka in The Cunning Little Vixen by Leoš Janáček.
