Cara Ferro
Cara Ferro (she/her), soprano, is currently living, working and performing in NYC. She is a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she received her post-graduate certificate in Vocal Performance. She also holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Performance from the University of Delaware.
As a teacher, Cara is a firm believer that any student has the ability to succeed. She is very malleable in her ways of teaching and enjoys the process of meeting every student where they are. When not teaching at Songbird, Cara works at On The Stage, a theatre empowerment platform for schools and theatres.
As a performer, Cara has sung numerous operatic roles including Donna Anna in Don Giovanni and the title role of Lucrezia Borgia. As a soloist with her a cappella group, the MelUDees, Cara can be heard singing Last Name by Carrie Underwood on the album, Drop the Pin. She also traveled to France with the UD Chorale. There, she performed the soprano solos in Moses Hogan’s Hold On, The Battle of Jericho, and Mary Don’t You Weep.
Professionally, she has sung with the OperaDelaware and Baltimore Concert Opera in their chorus. She also just closed an equity showcase of Dublin Rising performing the role of Rose. Last summer she also sang the role of Donna Anna in Spotlight on Opera’s production of Don Giovanni.
