“The only thing better than singing is more singing!”
Associate Vocal Coach
Michelle McDaniel is relatively new to the Bay Area, but not new to the vocal music. With training for the last 18 years in various genres, Michelle can say with certainty that her favorite pastime is singing, and she is excited to make a career with her music. Two weeks after graduating magna cum laude from California Baptist University with two degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Education in April 2016, she was offered a teaching position. She currently teaches weekly general music to about 800 elementary students throughout the northern part of the peninsula and enjoys it immensely.
Michelle has always had a passion for performance, and grew up singing on musical theatre stages throughout Southern California, Peru, and Italy. During her time at University of Nevada Reno, Michelle discovered a passion for opera and classical choral singing, and has spent the last six years pursuing a professional career in that field. Highlights of her performance career thus far include a performance of Ola Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass at Carnegie Hall under the baton of Dr. Paul Torkelson, and singing Trial by Jury (Gilbert and Sullivan) this past Christmas season under the direction of Barry Koron at the Dicken’s Christmas Festival.
Michelle’s upbeat personality has been teaching with Songbird since 2017.
