Addy Geenen

Associate Vocal Coach

Addy (she/they) is a musician, performer, teacher and a Bay Area local. Growing up, Addy went to the San Francisco Symphony, Folsom Jazz Festival, and many different local concerts which developed her wide-ranging tastes in music. Though trained as an opera singer, Addy loves to sing jazz, RnB, musical theatre, and pop independently.

Addy first started teaching music in Queens, New York and then built her own voice and piano studio back in Michigan. While beginning her studio, she fell in love with guiding students towards more authentic performances. She believes that singing can connect people to each other and themselves in a way nothing else can. Since moving back to the Bay Area, Addy is excited to get back in the studio with her new students at Songbird.

Addy is currently studying at San Francisco Conservatory of Music for her Masters in Vocal Performance. She received her Bachelors of Music from University of Michigan. She has sung in the Detroit Opera chorus, as a soloist with Oakland Choral Society and Orchestra Sono, and at San Francisco Conservatory. This fall, she will be Sibella in SFCM’s production of the musical, “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder”.
