Songbird City Choir is on a mission!

Songbird City Choir was created to bring people together through the joy of singing. We are an inclusive, no-audition community choir in San Francisco where every voice is welcome, every singer is valued, and music connects us all. By creating a supportive space for all skill levels to learn and grow, we foster community, friendship, and the kind of spirited music-making that lifts our city.

Meet your Songbird City Choir Director!

Jack Wilkins (he/him) is a professional vocalist and educator. He performs with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus and has sung on major film and stage productions. As the founder and Music Director of Songbird City Choir, Jack created this ensemble from his vision to build community through joyful, high-quality group singing in San Francisco—welcoming and empowering every voice to shine.

We do cool things in the community!

Songbird City Choir isn’t just a rehearsal-room choir — we’re out in the city sharing music wherever it brings joy. From singing the National Anthem at San Francisco Giants games to caroling through our neighborhoods during the holidays, we love showing up for our community and celebrating the vibrant spirit of San Francisco through music.

WE AIM FOR EXCELLENCE

THOUGH SONGBIRD CITY CHOIR IS AN AMATEUR GROUP, THE LEVEL OF INSTRUCTION
AND THE FINAL RESULTS ARE TOP TIER!

The facilities are beautiful, the teachers are real pros, and there is a real sense of community about this place. Highly recommended.

I felt like my voice no longer worked and thought maybe I just couldn’t sing anymore. But within weeks of working with Ashten, whole new dimensions started opening up in my voice. It is like learning to sing again, but this time with all the technique and artistry that a talented teacher can impart.
