Award winning vocalist, Whitney Nichole, is Songbird’s owner. Whitney’s musical and teaching style is truly an extension of her warm, approachable personality. She encourages all her students to tell stories with their music, to evoke raw emotions that people of all different ages, backgrounds, and situations can experience with them.

Eva Cassidy – she had such magic!
What do you enjoy most about being a vocal coach?
Spending time singing and getting to know beautiful people! I absolutely love the feeling of seeing a singer break through and just kill a song they thought they couldn’t sing. It’s so personal and so magical! I feel lucky to be there with them for those moments 🙂
What artist would you pick to go on tour with and why?
Ingrid Michaelson 🙂 Not only does she seem super fun to hang with, but I’d love to collaborate with her, which she often does with the acts she goes on the road with!
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Just the fact that singing for me is so energizing. I’m inspired every day by the students I get to work with – seeing their passion for music, its contagious!

Sia – working with her would be a dream! She’s one of my favorite writers and singers out there – I’ve been a fan for years!
