Riley Gallivan

Associate Vocal Coach

Riley is a supportive and encouraging teacher, with experience across many different genres, from classical and musical theater to jazz, pop, and R&B. She holds a BM in Music Education with a concentration in Voice Performance from Boston University, and has also studied classical voice at the Royal College of Music in London.

As a performer, Riley has sung in various choral and contemporary a capella groups, such as “Boston University Singers” and “Boston University’s In Achord”. In February 2018, Riley won the “Outstanding Soloist” award for her rendition of “Pray” by Sam Smith at the International Collegiate Championship of A Capella (ICCA) Northeast Quarterfinal in Boston. She can also be heard as a soloist on BU In Achord’s albums “Premiere” and “Have Mercy”.

As a music educator, Riley has taught choir, general music, and band to students of all ages in the US public schools. She recently returned from China and the Philippines, where she worked as both an English and Music teacher. Riley is passionate about the joy that singing can bring to a person’s life, and strives to help each student learn how to access their freest and healthiest voice. Riley has been with the Songbird Team since 2019.
